A new funding opportunity for biochemical postdocs

Initially, the news in Science about the Pathway to Independence Award got me excited about doing a postdoc. This award provides postdocs with $50,000/yr for 2 years, which then becomes a 3-year $250,000/yr R01 grant. However, when I downloaded the excel file listing the NIH's FY06 awardees, I realized that these were all biochemists. What about funding for postdocs doing basic research?!?
